Arizona pics

This weekend we finally decorated the tree.  The boys were pretty excited.  I just would have left the tree with only the lights on if they let me.  Not really in the mood for decorations.  I am excited with the boys for the anticipation.  I tried to wrap some gifts while the boys were playing, but it didn’t work out too well.  Landon kept trying to open all the boxes, and even started unwrapping the ones I had just wrapped!  So everything was put away until the boys went to sleep.  Some time I would like to sleep as long as them.  Only if someone would pick up the house while I’m catching some zzz’s!

I’m posted some pics below that highlight our trip.  It did rain for the first day and a half that we were there.  It rained most of Thanksgiving, but I do believe that was Corey’s doing.  Ever hear the song, “Holes in the Floor of Heaven?”  I like to think that way.  Here is a link to the song if you haven’t heard it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt_Tu8UWASk  I like to think it is Corey checking down on us.

Corey’s birthday is also coming up.  It is this next Sunday, December 14.  We are planning on doing a balloon launch at 12noon.  This way the boys can send some balloons “up” to Daddy on his day.  We miss him so much.  I remember last year.  Corey wasn’t quite able to go out in public, because of his treatments.  He wanted shrimp scampi for dinner.  I thought about ordering from somewhere, but wasn’t sure with the transport because of it being seafood.  So I looked up a recipe on the internet and made it for Corey on his night.  He loved it.  Or at least he told me he did.  And he usually was pretty honest with my cooking.  I wish I could make it for him again.  Anyway, anyone that would want to send some balloons up to Corey, feel free to send me some pics and maybe I can put them together into something special.

I’ll leave you with the pictures.  Hope you all have a good week.  Ours is busy, of course.  Need to get out and shop (ugh).  Then I need to try and wrap!  Take care and drive carefully in the snow.

  4. Wow! Thanks for the update, it’s easier right now to read the post vs. post my own, we are all fine, just busy as usual, Bret has just left me for SD for two weeks. Too bad, you guys should’ve come to stay for a couple weeks. We could take turns cooking and cleaning for each other :) Hugs to the kids and you of course. Safe travels to Sara as well. good luck, how exciting at this time of the year. M
