Back again

Hello all! We’re back. Not home, yet. We landed yesterday in Milwaukee and stopped for an overnight visit in Elkhorn at Chris’s house. When we got here, I checked my messages at home and we had one from the Immunology clinic at Children’s saying that they had a cancellation today (wednesday)!  So we stayed over and went to the appointment, and while we were in the clinic, it decided to dump 5 inches of snow.  So we stayed tonight also.  We’ll head back tomorrow, then back to work and school on friday.

We had a great time in Arizona.  Other than Landon throwing up on and off the whole weekend, and Teagan burning his hand, we had a wonderful time!  The kids were in awe of the Grand Canyon.  We had such a great time at the village too.  We saw an IMAX movie about the Canyon (which Landon did not like at all), and at the hotel we swam, bowled, and played air hockey.  We took our time driving back to Tucson, seeing Sedona, which is incredible scenery.    On Sunday, we headed out to my Aunt Nancy’s for the day.  She lives about 30 minutes south of Tucson, out in the rough.  It was a great time.  Teagan burned his hand at the campfire.  We were roasting marshmallows and he grabbed the hot fork trying to put the marshmallow on.  Ouch.  He did a good job.  On Monday, we went to the Air and Space museum.  The kids had a blast.  They have all sorts of old planes that you can tour and even play with some of the toys inside.  They even have a mock up of an air traffic control tower.  There were so many buttons and each did something different.  Landon did not want to get out of there.  I gotta get one of those!  After visiting some more family, we met the guys out at the golf course for some food and fun.  The boys got to play around on the putting green.   Beautiful day to end the trip.

So our trip to Immunology.  All in all was good.  Kind of confusing, lots more info to take in.  They are concerned about Landon’s frequent need for steroids.  And concerned on why he is still getting frequent infections even on a propholactic antibiotic.  I felt like they listened, and they have plan.  Landon had to give some more blood today as a starting point here, and we should be hearing from them next week sometime.

Okay, I tried to add more pics, but the website is slow tonight.  I’ll add more tomorrow when I get home.  Hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas craziness!

More later, Kara & boys
